Kaja Tikk Ph.D.

VP Clinical Affairs

Dr. Kaja Tikk is the Vice President of Clinical Affairs at Hummingbird Diagnostics GmbH. Kaja brings over a decade of experience in clinical development and project management, with a special focus on early disease detection and cancer biomarker validation.

Kaja leads Hummingbird’s clinical trial team, coordinates all clinical activities, including site management, and oversees ethical approvals and clinical partners.

Prior to joining Hummingbird, Kaja worked at the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ) Heidelberg, Germany, as a clinical research scientist and trial manager. Her main responsibilities included clinical project management and study monitoring in the field of cancer research.

Kaja completed her Ph.D. in food science at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden in cooperation with Aarhus University, Denmark.
