Dr. Bruno Steinkraus serves as Chief Scientific Adviser of Hummingbird Diagnostics GmbH and advises the company’s interdisciplinary research team, managing the scientific discovery and technology development portfolio. 

Bruno brings extensive scientific expertise in the fields of gene expression analysis from blood, PCR assay development, microRNA (miRNA) functional studies and unbiased miRNA target identification.

Bruno holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Oxford, where he was an MRC scholar and has authored several scientific articles on miRNA biology. He completed his undergraduate studies at Imperial College London, where he received the Neuroscience Prize.
