Jochen Kohlhaas

Founder & Managing Director

Jochen Kohlhaas is the Founder and Managing Director of Hummingbird Diagnostics GmbH. He has over 25 years of experience in executive positions at manufacturing companies and dynamic early-stage biotechs, where he has developed business strategy, driven revenue growth, and led teams to deliver successful outcomes for investors.

Before founding Hummingbird, he was a partner at the German venture capital firm Techno Start and served as Chief Financial Officer at febit group and several other companies.

Jochen holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Bayreuth and started his career in financing and controlling.
